How do sites validate you linked back to them? [on hold]
Many sites give away free 'perks' to users if they place a link on their
site. For example, if you link back to Mixpanel, you get 250000 free
credits. The sites have an input box for you to verify you linked back.
How do those input validator's work? Do they crawl your site immediately?
What technologies are used to set one of these up?
